Central Hudson helps feed 55,000 after reaching 55,000 eBills users
We recently donated to the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley to provide 55,000 meals to feed local families in need. In 2015, we announced our pledge to make this donation upon reaching 55,000 customers enrolled in eBills, Central Hudson's electronic billing program.
"Thanks to our customers, we're excited to fulfill our pledge to provide 55,000 meals to the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley to assist local families," said James P. Laurito, President and CEO of Central Hudson.
"Central Hudson has been a long-time generous supporter of the Food Bank," said Mark Quandt, Director of the Food Bank, "and we are very grateful for everything they have done on our behalf to benefit those most in need in our community."
The Food Bank of the Hudson Valley supplies more than 400 local food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and other feeding programs. In 2015, the nonprofit agency provided 15.5 million pounds of food throughout six Hudson Valley counties, enough for nearly 13 million meals. Its goal is to alleviate hunger and prevent food waste.
How it works
As an eBills customer we send you an email notifying you when each bill is ready for your review and action. You receive, view, and pay your energy bill entirely online.
It's the green way to go: it saves money, time and natural resources. Also, when you register for eBills you can choose to save payment information to expedite future transactions.
