Central Hudson Introduces Free Mobile App for Android and Apple Users

Android and Apple smart phone users may now download a free mobile application by Central Hudson to access their utility accounts and more. “Although Central Hudson introduced a mobile version of its website for smart phones last year, this free application was designed to provide Android-based and Apple smart phone users with better navigation and functionality specific to these devices,” said James P. Laurito, President of Central Hudson.

Customers can use the mobile applications and website to:

  • Make a payment
  • Report an electric power outage
  • Check status of an outage
  • View outage summary by county and municipality
  • View the outage map
  • View payment locations
  • View contact information

Customers who previously registered for “Your Account” may also view their Central Hudson account summary, balance and payment due dates, and view their payment history.

The Android application is available on the Android Market (https://market.android.com), and the Apple version on the App Store at iTunes (www.apple.com/itunes); or, go to www.CentralHudson.com/mobileapp for more information and quick links to the applications. Users of other smart phone or mobile devices may log onto a mobile version of Central Hudson’s website at http://mobile.CentralHudson.com.
