(UNIONVALE) A gasoline tanker truck struck a utility pole on Route 82 in the hamlet of Verbank in the Town of Unionvale, Dutchess County, interrupting power to approximately 80 residents. Central Hudson crews are on site to restore electric service, as the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), Dutchess County officials and emergency responders are working to secure the area.

Power to residents affected by the accident is expected to be restored potentially in the late afternoon to early evening, after initial clean-up activities are addressed under the direction of the DEC.
