Central Hudson Names Vice President of Engineering and Environmental Services 

(Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) Paul E. Haering has been appointed Vice President of Engineering and Environmental Services for Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corp., a subsidiary of CH Energy Group (NYSE: CHG). With more than 20 years experience in engineering at the utility, Haering will assume executive responsibility for gas and electric engineering, environmental and special services, and the operation and maintenance of Central Hudson’s substations and peaking generation facilities.

“Paul’s dedication to adding shareholder value while meeting the service requirements of customers is exemplary,” said Carl E. Meyer, President and Chief Operating Officer of Central Hudson. “He has been instrumental in upgrading and improving our gas and electric infrastructure to ensure customers are receiving the level of service that meets their needs, and his leadership will be key in assuring Central Hudson’s achieves its electric service reliability goals during the next five years.”

  Haering joined the Company as a Junior Engineer in Substation Design in 1986. He holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College; earned a master's degree, also in Electrical Engineering, from Polytechnic University; is a graduate of the GE Power System Engineering Program; and earned an Executive Master's in Business Administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He and his wife Lisa reside in Pleasant Valley with their two children, Matthew and Michelle.
