(POUGHKEEPSIE, NY)  The Board of Directors of CH Energy Group, Inc. (NYSE: CHG) has appointed Stacey Renner to the position of Treasurer, effective immediately. He will be charged with oversight of access to financial markets for the Poughkeepsie-based energy firm, which had 2005 operating revenues of $973 million, and will continue to represent CH Energy Group with stock analysts, shareholders, rating agencies, banks, and other financial institutions.

"Stacey has demonstrated a keen business sense and developed an outstanding perspective on our industry. His ability to work effectively with the financial community will also continue to add great value for shareholders," said Steven V. Renner joined subsidiary Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation in 1990 as a Cost & Rate Analyst.
