Energy Market Expo to be Held Thursday

(Kingston, NY) There’s still time for local businesses to register for an energy Market Expo to be held on Thursday, April 21 at 1 p.m. at the Kingston offices of Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corp. Sponsored by Central Hudson and in conjunction with the New York State Public Service Commission, the Market Expo will present energy options available to Mid-Hudson Valley businesses as a result of electric and natural gas deregulation. Representatives of several energy service companies that market electricity and natural gas to Mid-Hudson Valley customers will be on hand to present their product offerings.

“Under deregulation, our customers have the option to choose their energy supplier, and to have that energy delivered to their homes and businesses by Central Hudson’s network of transmission and distribution lines,” said Jim VanTassell, Central Hudson’s Director of Retail Choice Programs. “This Market Expo is being held to educate our business customers about the choices that are available to them, and it also serves as an opportunity for our customers to meet representatives of the independent companies that can supply their electricity and natural gas.”

The Market Expo is free and available to Central Hudson’s business customers. It will be held in the auditorium of utility’s Kingston offices, located at 120 Route 28 (near the Thruway circle). For further information, or to register for the event, contact VanTassell at (845) 486-5857.
